2nd semester planning

Although the Ghidotti High School classes are year-round, some alterations are needed for grades 10-12 due to Sierra College scheduling conflicts. 
 
  • Freshmen, class of 2029, will not be making course requests for the Spring semester. 
  • Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will be able to make changes to their high school classes if a conflict has arisen due to a college class. Detailed info can be found below by class. 
 
For the 2nd semester, we are making a shift in our school day start and end times to accommodate our teacher collaboration and student needs. Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors

Sophomores: English 2 has moved due to Sierra College Physics. The majority of Ghidotti sophomores take Physics second semester. There are two sections to select from - start time 12:30 or 2:00. Sophomores must have 2 high school classes per day. Requirements include English 2, Phoenix 102, and World History. Sophomores may request their Spring schedule. The office reserves the right to change schedules as needed to balance high school classes. Only college conflicts are considered when balancing classes within the school day. 8:30-3:30.
No additional students may be added to Intro to Digital Media or Business Leadership due to class size.
 
Juniors: The second section of US History is back on the schedule. Juniors must have 2 high school classes per day. Requirements include Phoenix 103, Chemistry, and US History. The office reserves the right to change schedules as needed to balance high school classes. Only college conflicts are considered when balancing classes within the school day. 8:30-3:30. 
No additional students may be added to Intro to Digital Media or Business Leadership due to class size.
 
Seniors: The American Government class (one semester in length) is now Economics (one semester in length). Students may fulfill their Economics graduation requirement with either high school or college. 
The senior requirement remains two high school classes a day, with one of those being Phoenix 104. Be sure to check your PE graduation requirements! Add a course if needed.

Spring 2025 Fridays at a Glance

Freshmen, Class of 2029

Freshmen will not be making course changes for the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year. 
The Ghidotti office will schedule all freshmen and provide students with a copy of their schedule prior to the semester break. 
All Ghidotti freshmen must complete Sierra Health and 1 Sierra PE in their first year. 
 
Freshman may add another college course this semester IF the workload has not been too much. Please consult Ms.McFadden and/or your high school counselor, Karla before committing to another college class. 
 
SPRING 2026
Monday/Wednesday “Red” 
The Class of 2029 will be taking Phoenix and English 1 M/W/Red Fridays
Option to add Rock Band Spring 2026
Ghidotti Freshmen are not making course requests for the 2nd semester. 
M/W/Red Friday will be scheduled by the Ghidotti staff.
 
SPRING 2026
Tuesday/Thursday "Gold" 
The Class of 2029 will be taking Biology and Math T/TH/Gold Fridays
If in Integrated III - Math Lab, required T/TH
Freshmen will not have any class changes T/TH/Gold Fridays, second semester
