The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is a regional association that accredits high schools in California. The WASC accreditation process fosters excellence in elementary, secondary, and adult education by encouraging school improvement. WASC accreditation recognizes schools that meet an acceptable level of quality, in accordance with established, research-based WASC criteria. Accreditation is important to schools as it impacts students' access to colleges and universities.  The WASC self-study review is an important tool for schools to improve the quality of education.

Ghidotti Early College High School received a six-year term of accreditation with a midterm review.
