Ghidotti Early College

Hi Ghidotti,

 

My name is Larry Davenport, and I am excited to be the new principal of ​William and Marian Ghidotti Early College High School. 

 

I come to Ghidotti from a non-traditional background.  I have served in the United States Marine Corps in a special forces force reconnaissance unit during the Gulf War.  I worked for a Fortune 500 company, became a successful entrepreneur and eventually transitioned into education 8 years ago as a dual enrollment teacher and more recently in school administration. 

 

My education includes a Bachelors of Science in Management from St. Mary's College of California.  I hold two advanced degrees, first is a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and second is a Masters in Education degree from the University of the Pacific.   I also hold a CASBO Chief Business Official Certificaiton from the University of Southern California.  I currently have a Career Technical Educaiton teaching credential in 5 content areas along with an administrative credential.  

 

Throughout my career in education, I have been committed to all students learning in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.  As the principal of Ghidotti, I am tasked with not only maintaining the highly successful Ghidotti model but to improve and grow the school to further support our amazing students and families.  I am a strong believer in creating a positive and supportive culture for our students.  I believe every student, family, community and staff member has a voice that will help guide Ghidotti in making sound decisions to help ALL students.
